老师
Afya Yoga、Pilates & Dance Studio 的敬业教师是我们成为如此知名的瑜伽工作室的重要原因。他们的承诺和热情是他们所做的一切的重中之重。在下面认识我们的一些团队成员。

Sonita
Sonita is a pilates and certified Amrit Yoga Instructor with decades of experiences in fitness of mind, body and spirit. A student of yoga since her college days as a Fulbright Scholar, and subsequently as a Masters degree holder from The Johns Hopkins University in Health Services, Sonita strongly believes in the ability of yoga to help change a person's thoughts, create positive energy and attain a toned physique.

Jason
Jason Lee Worton is a Jamaican musician and yoga teacher who focuses on alignment, breath, and a grounding practice with lots of foundation poses. A student of yoga since the age of 10, he teaches a fusion of Hatha styles and Yin Yoga - most recently adding his study of Chi Gong to his music-infused classes. He crafts classes that promise valuable insights to students of all levels, allowing them to connect to themselves in a light-hearted atmosphere featuring a mixture of musical selections and live music, that is truly rootsy, rooted, and rocking all at once.

Keita-Marie
Keita-Marie is a testimony of the wonderful benefits of Pilates. In 2002, when she was told that she would never dance again after incurring injuries from an accident she started attending Pilates classes on the recommendation of her mother. She returned to the stage within months and in 2004 started training to become a Pilates Instructor. With over 15 years of experience teaching Pilates she has made it her mission to share the benefits of the Pilates system, not only as a fitness regimen, but as a rehabilitation tool to help people live healthier lives.

Alyssa
Alyssa grew up in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For years she traveled all over the world, studying and teaching yoga. No matter where she was in the world, Alyssa always found her soul in nature. So here in Jamaica with countless waterfalls, rivers, mountains, forests and beautiful beaches she feel more connected than ever.
Alyssa is a devoted student as well as teacher and has particular interest in the meditative and philosophical aspects of the practice. Her asana classes are typically challenging, but always kind. She aims to bring together elements of strength, breath and movement to facilitate the flow of positive energy that can be taken off the mat, into your day.

Trishan
With over a decade of teaching, Trishan has developed a deeply nourishing style of sharing yoga that centres on whole-person wellness.
As a Kripalu trained Yoga Therapist and Yoga Alliance continuing education provider she accesses modern, research-backed practices and fuses them with the ancient wisdom teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Every class is inclusive and Trishan is always willing and well able to adjust and modify for each student's needs.

Sarah Be
Sarah Be is a dedicated practitioner of holistic therapies and has been intimately connected with these practices since 1998. She believes in the innate wisdom that lies in the body/mind connection and uses the framework of the breath to more deeply engage with all aspects of the self. Sarah’s personal practice developed through an alignment based perspective of hatha yoga and her massage therapy studies. Each uncovering led to a deeper curiosity of the physical body and how it interfaces with emotion, thought, and experience. The physical practices led to an exploration of the ways in which trauma and repetitive patterns affect emotional reactivity and manifest into physical holding patterns in the body. Through movement, touch, breath, and verbal expression she works with individuals and groups to uncover and witness their highest state of being. She is a strong supporter of expressing all of the edges and imperfections that uniquely craft your most integrated being. She is eternally humbled to be invited on each journey of self exploration and healing.

Tina
Tina is a Kundalini Yoga Instructor who received her certification from The Kundalini Research Institute in New Mexico in 2011. Kundalini Yoga is called "the yoga of awareness." In her practice and teaching, Tina seeks to bring an experience of Jojy and Peace through accessing this deep awareness.
Tina began her personal practice over 40 years ago, studying Hatha Yoga with Ananda Marga and then at the University of Windsor, Canada, while doing her Bachelor of Commerce. She traveled extensively to do Kundalini Yoga trainings, and is a Member of the Life Force Academy, a school dedicated to teachers and students practicing Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda.

Tareeq

Helga
Helga has been practicing yoga for over 16 years. Initially trained in Iyengar methods her practice has developed into more fluid vinyasas that vary from gentle flows to more energetic ones to encourage practitioners to get to know their bodies and develop their strength and practice instinctively.

Brittany
Brittany has always been interested in how the body moves and exploring its optimal movement ability in every moment. Her interest started with her love for dancing transformed into practicing the art of Pilates which she has now been teaching for almost 7 years.
She loves how the mind’s connection to the body strengthens movement and conditions the muscles in a way that regular exercise does not always allow. The aim for a deep mind body connection provides the basis for her teaching style.
She also believes movement is an art form and must be fun and enjoyable, so in her class you will see fun twists and challenges on classic moves to keep things interesting and dynamic as you move together and watch your bodies transform.
